No. Recording, transcription, speaker identification, summaries, and labels run locally whenever available. Some optional model components may download on first use; your conversations are not sent to a transcription service.
Which devices does it support?+
Stenographer runs on iPhone and iPad, with an Apple Watch companion for wrist-first recording. Feature availability can depend on device capability and operating-system support.
Can it recognize people across recordings?+
Yes. After you name a speaker, Stenographer can create an on-device voice profile and carry that name into other recordings when the match is confident. You remain in control of speaker names.
Is there a subscription?+
